We're in this together.

                                              We’re in this together.

Most people who are fans within the science fiction/comic book convention world are pretty laid back good hearted people. They go to shows, meet new people, discuss and share their fandom with others that share the same interests. Most are completely oblivious that there is a sort of dark side to their fandom as well. A side that the ones that are aware of it are embarrassed to be even remotely associated with it. And it’s mainly opinion based. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you should not have an opinion or that your opinion has to be the same as everyone else. I always think a difference of opinion is a great thing. Just think what kind of world this would be if everyone thought the same. In my opinion, that’s not somewhere I want to live.

A while back I was having a conversation with a friend that makes me think of a question. “Why do you think you’re a bigger fan than me?” A person who I used to knows daughter happens to be the current Guinness Record holder for having the world’s largest Doctor Who memorabilia collection. I have personally read people’s vitriol comments about her and her family. I could not believe the things people were saying about a child. I know for a fact that she would save her money or birthday presents or gifts, etc. to add to her collection. But that’s neither here nor there. It’s not your money, so it can be spent however they want it to be. Sadly, there will always be someone out there that will not like you for your accomplishments. No matter what it is.

Now some people think that even though she has the largest recorded collection of Doctor Who memorabilia that she is automatically believes that she is a bigger fan than someone else. She would be the first to tell you that it’s not true. Does her massive collection make her a bigger fan that I am? Does her age make me a bigger fan than she is? The answer to me for both is no. Just because someone has an amount of collectibles for a certain genre more than another person doesn’t mean they’re a bigger fan than you are. And just because I’ve been a fan of the show since before she was born doesn’t mean that I am a bigger fan than she is. I use to go to more conventions than I do now. There is one local convention that I’ve completely quit going too. Simply because they have gotten so expensive, I can no longer afford to go. But those that can, good for them. I just can’t bring myself to pay over 100 USD on a single autograph. But a lot of people do. Which is why those prices keep going up and up.

Do I spew hatred or anger because someone spends their money on expensive autographs or has a plethora (Three Amigos) of collectibles? I don’t. But there are some that do. Even when they or their actions are called out publically. When someone does this, they just come off as a jealous child crying to whomever will listen. Just because someone has what you do not. I WANT AN OOMPA LOOMA NOW!!

Bottom line is, there is so much negativity going on in the world right now, do we really need it to leak into a place that fans go to escape that negativity? Do we really need to treat our fellow fans with anger because they have more memorabilia or prefer the female Doctor to the others? In my opinion, no. Well we shouldn’t. Because in the end, what does it matter. You don’t like a particular Doctor, cool. No one said you had to. That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. But don’t treat someone like garbage because they do or don’t (yes it goes both ways). You’re both fans of the same thing. Enjoy that fandom and “Would you like a Jelly Baby?”

Cosmic Masque X

I was asked to do a review of a Doctor Who comic for the Doctor Who Appreciation Society. As I have said in the past, they are the oldest Doctor Who group in the world. It actually started the month I was born. Way back in May of 76. They have a monthly print publication (Celestial Toyroom)that is available to members as well as a digital version (Cosmic Masque). The digital version is free to download on their website. Well I have been asked to contribute to both over the last year or two. This time my review made it to the recent Cosmic Masque. I have never reviewed a comic before, as I don’t really read them as much anymore. But, I did read this one for the review. And here it is attached. I have took out all the other material so you can just see my review. ( But I also recommend reading the entire thing http://www.dwasonline.uk/CM10_STD_format.pdf )If you have a few minutes to kill, please take a minute and give it a read. I would love to know what you think of my first comic book review. Thank you so much everyone. Have a great, safe, and healthy day.

2018 Autographs: A Year in Review

Ok folks, I hope your 2019 will be an awesome one and you get all the autographs you want. Here is my, albeit small, 2018 autograph review.

January:
This was my son and I’s first time going to an IWR (Imperial Wrestling Revolution) event. The name has since been changed. But that night was really cool for the most part. The autographs I got that night were from WCCW legend “Iceman” King Parsons and Lisa Marie Varon aka WWE’s Victoria. I also got to see Ross & Marshall Von Erich.

February: zip
March: zip

April: Actor Ed Gale was having a sale on his website. Four 8x10’s for $20+shipping. Could not pass up that one of a kind deal.
My friend Paul in the UK went to a signing with Russell T. Davies. Out of the kindness of his heart he got Russell to sign the photo of him and I when I visited Cardiff last year.

May: I purchased a small handful of sports autographs including Byron Hamspard (8x10 card), Bert Emanuel (8x10 card), David Murphy (8x10 photo), Keshawn Martin (signed card), Ian Kinsler (8x10), Michael Choice (signed card), Todd Collins (8x10 card) , Vernand Morency (8x10 card), Yatil Green(8x10 card), & Albert Connell (8x10 card)

June: Tina Packar from the Doctor Who series “The Web of Fear” as Anne Travers. She signed my 8x10, a print out, & two index cards.

My friend Paul attended Utopia 2018 in Whitney and had Waris Hussein sign a postcard for me. Waris directed 11 of the original series including “The Unearthly Child”

July: Bonnie Langford aka Melanie Bush from Doctor Who. My friend Nigel attended the London Film and Comic Con and picked up this awesome autograph for me.

Corpus Christi Hooks pitcher Riley Ferrell. I met Riley when we visited watched the Hooks take batting practice off of the USS Lexington. A couple weeks later my friend Greg surprised me with a signed card from Riley since I wasn’t able to get his sig in Corpus.

August: I had won tickets and meet and greet to the Lost 80’s Live concert. I met and got autographs from the following people.
Mike Score (A Flock of Seagulls) , Nick Feldman (Wang Chung) , Valerie Day & John Smith (Nu Shooz) , Astrid Plane & Bill Wadhams (Animotion), Clive Farrington & Andrew Mann ( When in Rome) , Dale Bozzio ( Missing Persons ) , Christopher Anton, & Michael Aston (Gene Loves Jezebel)

I placed an order for a small handful of Doctor Who autographs from Tenth Planet in the UK. I got signed 8x10’s of Frazier Hines (aka Jamie McCrimmon), Louise Jameson (aka Leela), & Daphne Ashbrook (aka Dr. Grace Holloway). To make my order even sweeter they had a private signing with Paul McGann (The Eighth Doctor) and he signed my photo at no charge.

September: David Newell aka Mr. McFeely from Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He sent me and my three kids signed photos, me a personal letter, two books of Fred Rogers, and a children’s book of Mr. McFeely. To say that I was very floored by this would be the understatement of the year.

My friend Craig in England had an extra David Gooderson autograph and he sent me one. Mr. Gooderson played Davros in Destiny of the Daleks on Doctor Who.

October: This was a total surprise. Actor Jamie Hill. I have spoken of Jamie so much that even those who have never heard of him before know who he is now. For the few that might not, Jamie played some really cool characters in recent years on BBC’s Doctor Who. I met Jamie when my daughter and I visited Cardiff, Wales for the closing of the Doctor Who Experience. That day I had taken a couple photos with Jamie. I had sent my photos of him and I along with a photo of a Mondasian Cyberman (that Jamie portrayed). As a surprise to me Jamie signed all three of photos along with seven additional signed photos of various characters he has portrayed.

November: I purchased a ticket to the Dallas Comic Show: Holiday Special 2018. I personally only got one IP autograph from the show and that was from actor Ray Wise.
The next day I took my son to the show for his first “Comic Con”. I made a custom t-shirt that said “My First Dallas Comic Show” on it. I give him a closed sharpie and we just walked around meeting everyone. Five celebs signed his shirt. Actor Ray Wise (Fresh off the Boat, Robocop, & Swamp Thing), Harry Goaz (Twin Peaks), Jason Douglas (Preacher, The Walking Dead), Cynthia Cranz (Dragon Ball Z & YuYu Hakusho), and local artist Terry Parr. He had an awesome time meeting everyone and seeing everything. And everyone seemed to have loved meeting him.

My friend Mark (Who owns and runs the Dallas Comic Show) also sells autographs that he’s pick up over the years at various conventions. Well I was able to pick up two gems from him. Actor Michael Jayston (The Valeyard in Doctor Who) and actor Nicholas Hammond (The Amazing Spiderman & The Sound of Music).

Most who know me know of my fondness of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Well to round out my November, I received some really awesome autographs from Officer Francois Clemmons himself. Mister Clemmons sent seven really cool autographed photos that I will always treasure.

December: This month started off pretty darn cool. My friend Angel who goes by the name Saqman sent me a Christmas gift. It was a t-shirt with his latest Doctor Who (Jodie Whitaker) designs on it.

To my surprise my friend Dave surprises me with two Doctor Who Christmas cards (I didn’t even know there was such a thing) signed by the great Penelope Wilton yes Harriet Jones herself and by the talented Lee Evans aka Malcom from Planet of the Dead. Then to go even further, he sends me two Doctor Who Target books (Doctor Who and the Hand of Fear & Doctor Who and the Time Warrior).

As I said with my success from November, most know of my love of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Well I had sent “Handyman” Joe Negri a First Day Cover of Mister Rogers’ stamp. To which he graciously signed as well as sent me a signed photo of himself as well. Absolutely love this as well.

And to round December off with a bang. Dave comes through again. He was doing some in person autographing around London and thought of old Riley. He was able to get me three index personalized signed index cards of a few Doctor Who (and other things) actors. He was able to get:
Ron Cook (Sean the Irish bastard in the first series of The Black Adder or George Merchant in Hot Fuzz, or even as Mr. Magpie in the episode “The Idiot’s Lantern” in Doctor Who)

Phyllis Logan (Some would know her from the Doctor Who episode and series finale “The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos”, or in Lovejoy as Lady Jane, or even in Downton Abbey as Mrs. Hughes)

Bill Bailey (Some might know him as Droxil in the Doctor Who episode “The Doctor, The Widow, & The Wardrobe”, or in Hot Fuzz as Sergeant Turner, or even on the hilarious Never Mind the Buzzcocks)

And also an interview I did with Jamie Hill was printed in the latest issue of Cosmic Masque from the Doctor Who Appreciation Society. http://www.dwasonline.uk/CM7_STD_format.pdf

Well that’s it for 2018. For autographs it was a pretty good year I must say. Got a new son, got some cool autographs, and made some cool friends. 2019 has got to be better and I wish it better for you. Thank you for your time and good luck with you collection.

MERRY NEW YEAR

2017 Celebrity Encounter Recap

I guess my 2017 was better than I thought. I know it pales in comparison to some of your successes. But I’ve been slowing down. Also, I’ve pretty much given up conventions all together after this year. There are a handful of reasons that made me come to that decision. If you really want to know, just send me a message.
I know we’re a little over a week into 2018 now. But I just wanted to give a quick celebrity encounter and autograph recap of my 2017. If I just looked back, I wouldn’t have guessed my 2017 was that good for me for autographs and celebrity encounters. But after I took a moment and reflected on it, I realized I didn’t do half bad. Just as an FYI, these are not in chronological order.

 In person autographs:
Tom Wopat/ Catherine Bach (Luke & Daisy Duke);  Autorama 2017: Usually at the car show, the main guest(s) will sign one autograph for free. But you have to stand in massive lines. I really wanted my 1:18 die cast General Lee signed, so I waited for hours on end to meet them once more. Catherine Bach was nice as usual. Tom Wopat was cool to an extent. Got the feeling he didn’t really want to be there. Oh well, I was able to get my car signed without paying the ridiculous prices comic cons charge for them.

Lori Petty/Dickey Beer (Tank Girl, Point Break, A League of Their Own/ Stunt Coordinator, Boba Fett) Dallas Comic Show 2017:  This was actually my last convention. But I will speak of only the two that I met and purchased autographs from. Lori Petty: She was late arriving but was very apologetic and very nice. I’ve been a fan of hers for years and that has not changed. Dickey Beer: when you meet someone from the original trilogy they always seem to be so genuine and so nice. And that is exactly the same with Dickey. He was very cool and we chatted about Jedi and Boba and Jeremy and others.

Nicholas Briggs/Jamie Hill (Both are known from Doctor Who) The closing day of the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, Wales 9-9-17: I happened to run into Nicholas Briggs in the gift shop of the experience. He was nothing less than awesome. I told him where my daughter and I have traveled from and he expressed his concern about people of Texas that was effected by Hurricane Harvey and asked if my family was ok. I was a fan before, but because of his heartfelt concern, he definitely went up a few notches in my book. Jamie Hill: Not only was Jamie in a lot of my favorite episodes of Who, he was also a manager at the experience. I had missed him when we were in the DWE. And they had a no reentry policy. I was speaking to a gentleman that was working in the gift shop and I told him that I came from Texas to visit the Experience before it closed. I asked if Jamie was around and he said he was inside. I said about the no reentry policy and he said follow me. He took me back into the Experience and to Jamie. Jamie was so nice. We spoke for about five minutes. We could have talked longer but technically he was working and I didn’t want to be a bother. They both took photos with me and signed my photo.

Peter Davison, Dan Starkey, & Mark Strickson (All are from Doctor Who. Peter was the fifth Doctor) WhoFest D/FW 2017: This was my first “Who” themed convention. This one was kind of small guest wise and  had only three guests. But it was three that I’ve never met before. So I was really psyched about it. It was Peter Davison (The Fifth Doctor), Dan Starkey (Strax the Sontaran), & Mark Strickson (Turlough). They were really cool to meet and seemed genuinely happy to meet me. Peter and Dan also had hilarious q&a’s. This show has since been cancelled.

Donald A. Thomas (NASA Astronaut) Kennedy Space Center Cape Canaveral, FL 6-21-17: My wife and went to Kennedy that day so I can meet Mr. Thomas and see all the other awesome things that NASA has to offer. When we got there we discovered that there was a Space X launch of a rocket. It was carrying Bulgaria’s first satellite into space. That was really cool to see. I’ve never seen a launch in person before. But anyways. Don Thomas. He was going to be in the gift shop at a specific time to sign autographs. I started to notice people lining up near his table about an hour early. So I went ahead and got in line. Once the signing started and I got up to his table, he was really approachable and nice. I was able to get three photos, a NASA pamphlet, and his book all signed. And my wife took some awesome photos of him and me.

Morgan Kane (Gravedigger driver) AT&T Stadium Arlington, TX 2-4-17: My son surprised me with tickets and Pit Passes to Monster Jam. We get there early to make the pits before the show to see the trucks. To our surprise, what truck did they have on display outside? You guessed it, Grave Digger. And there was a sign about a signing. YES!!! I’m going to meet Dennis Anderson!! Now I haven’t kept up with Monster Trucks since I was a kid. Unbeknownst to me there are now several drivers. This driver was Morgan Kane. Like I said, didn’t really keep up with it anymore. So I didn’t know him. But he drove my favorite truck since I was a kid, so it was cool to meet him and get him to sign my Grave Digger mini helmet. He was a really cool guy to meet.

Paul McGann (The eighth Doctor on Doctor Who) ODP 3 11-19-2017: Now I didn’t meet Paul myself. But a guy I know(ish) who runs various autograph shows in the UK got Paul inperson for me. To be honest I have never seen the Doctor Who movie that Paul McGann did in its entirety. I looked for it on discs and I assume it’s out of print because it is very expensive. Regardless, I now just need three more Doctors and I will have all the living ones.

Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, and Matt Lucas (12th Doctor, Bill Potts, and Nardole) Doctor Who filming location September 2017: Now Technically these were obtained in 2016, but I didn’t receive them until 2017. My friends Tom and Charlie and their awesome kids obtained these for me in person from the actors themselves from the set of Doctor Who.

Ian McNeice (Winston Churchill on Doctor Who): Obtained inperson by friends The Connors’ around the same time as above.

Steven Moffat (Writer, Director, & Showrunner of Doctor Who): Obtained inperson by friends The Connors’ around the same time as above.

TTM Autographs:
Matt Lucas- (Nardole on Doctor Who): I had a photo that I took with me to the Doctor Who Experience in Wales because it was rumored that he and others would be there giving it a proper farewell. Well that’s all it was, rumors. So I was able to contact Matt and he gave me an address in London for me to send the photo to so he can sign it for me. And he did.

Jay Chandrasekhar, Erik Stolhanske, Paul Soter, & Kevin Hefferman (Four out of the five member of Broken Lizard): I was talking to Erik and he said he would sign a couple photos of him and Jay and I. So he sent me his home address and I sent it off to him. Not that much longer I get my photos back. Erik had Jay, Kevin, and Paul sign them as well. Very cool of him to do.

Purchased Autographs:
Agnieszka Bconska,Ruari Mears, Sean Palmer, Zoe Thorne, Eve Myles, Anna Hope, & Sophia Myles: ( A weeping Angel in “Blink”, A Hath in “The Doctor’s Daughter”, A Clockwork Man in “The Girl in the Fireplace”, The Gelth in “The Quiet Undead”, Gwyneth in “The Quiet Undead”, Novice Hame in “New Earth” & “Gridlock”, & Madame de Pompadour in “The Girl in the Fireplace”. I was able to obtain these from Tenth Planet Events. Tenth Planet puts on a multitude of celebrity autograph shows in the UK.

Ming-Na Wen: (Here are two of the multitude of roles this awesome actress has: Agent May on Marvel’s Agents of Shield and the voice of Mulan on Disney’s Mulan). When I went to the WhoFest D/FW show they were having an auction where 100% of the proceeds would go to the local PBS station KERA. I won this and one more photo.

Sean Gunn & Michael Rooker: ( Kraglin and Yondu on Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2) This is the other autographed photo I won with the proceeds going to KERA.

Camille Coduri: (Jackie Tyler on Doctor Who) On my recent trip to Cardiff, Wales for the closing of the Doctor Who Experience, I was able to pick up this awesome autographed photo from the gift shop.

Mike Quinn: (Mike is an actor and puppeteer known for so many roles I just have the room here. So here is a few. Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, & The Last Jedi. Mike also performed in Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal as a puppeteer. Well Mike was having an awesome sale through his website and I couldn't pass it up. I got a really cool photo from The Force Awakens as well as a couple other things. Mike is a very cool guy. If you are a Star Wars fan or a fan of his other roles, keep an eye for his autograph deals. You won’t regret it.

Greg Ruth & Ethan Hawke: Greg is an illustrator for various book, comic books, & graphic novels. Ethan is an actor and director known for Training Day, Reality Bites, & The Magnificent Seven reboot. I picked up a signed copy of Greg and Ethan’s book Indeh: A Story of the Apache Wars

Trade:
I don’t do a lot of trades. But I did with this one. It was about an even trade. I got the below autographs.
Tilda Swinton
George Takei
Irvin Kershner
Klaus Brandauer
Warwick Davis
Mel Brooks
Colbie Smulders

Gift:
Tom Landry: (Former Head Coach, now deceased, of the Dallas Cowboys.) A long time co-worker gave a signed dollar bill of Tom Landry to me. I am still super stoked about this one.

John Simm: (The Master on Doctor Who) My friends The Connors’ obtained this for me.

David Bradley: (Solomon and The Doctor in Doctor Who and William Hartnell in An Adventure of Space and Time. My friends The Connors’ obtained this for me.

Contest:
Barbie Wilde: (The Female Cenobite in Hellbound: Hellraiser II) The website Startiger had a contest and I won this autographed photo of Barbie as the Cenobite.

Met but no autographs:
These celebrities I had the honor of meeting but didn’t have the opportunity of getting their autographs.
Blue Man Group: a performance art show combines paint, music, and humor in its stage productions around the world. My family and I saw one of their shows at Universal Studios and I was able to meet one of the performers after the show and get my photo with him.

Russell T. Davies: (Former writer, producer, and showrunner of Doctor Who and Torchwood) after my daughter and visited the Doctor Who Experience for its final day, we took in some of the local sights of Cardiff Bay. After we visit Ianto’s Shrine aka the entrance of Torchwood we were on our way to Eddie’s Diner for a bite to eat. Who was sitting outside but none other than Russell T. Davies himself. A couple other people were already chatting with him. So we approached and spoke with him as well. He took a few photos with my daughter and I. Just as nice a person as you can get.

Christel Dee: The founding presenter on Doctor Who: The fan show. While my daughter and I were in the lobby of the Doctor Who Experience, Christel was walking around and filming some of her show downstairs before heading up. I approached her and introduced myself and asked for a photo. To which she graciously obliged. Just an all-around great person. Definitely check her show out.

Nathalie Cuzner: (various monsters and characters on Doctor Who) This is actually a funny story. When my daughter and I visited the closing of the Doctor Who Experience, there were various characters roaming around the venue. From Cybermen to Whisper men to Daleks. But also one of Mrs. Rossiter’s Peg Dolls was walking around. To which Nathalie played this specific Peg Doll in the episode “Night Terrors”. Well unbeknownst to me until I get all the way back home to Texas, that was Nathalie as the peg doll walking around. I really wish I would have had the opportunity to get her autograph that day. Someday. She did let me take a photo with her.

So there you have it. Not too bad if I must say so. Got some cool autographs, met some awesome people, and made some
excellent memories. Not bad at all.

Doctor Who Experience 9-9-17

Well, it’s passed four years now, on the ninth of September 2017, my daughter and I had the opportunity to visit the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, Wales. For those “Who” are unaware of what that is, it’s an interactive exhibition that showcases Doctor Who with various costumes and props from the show. It starts off with a short film starring Peter Capaldi, recorded specifically for the Experience. A guide takes you through a 30 minuteish adventure following the Doctor’s instructions and takes you to the Tardis console and other sets including awaking Daleks. Your goal, obviously, save the planet and save the Tardis. Once the day is saved, a door opens to the museum and you are free to roam and look at the costumes, props, etc. from various series of the show. You were able to see costumes and props from just about every Doctor, companion, & villain. There is also (as there is always) a gift shop (You have a little shop. I love a little shop. ) that offers a variety of Doctor Who souvenirs you can purchase. Since the day my daughter and I attended was the last day it was open, souvenirs were slim pickings. I was able to buy an official companion guide (Program) and an autographed print of Camille Coduri (aka Jackie Tyler).
There were also a multitude of costumed people walking around the inside as well of outside of the Experience, which made it even more interactive. It was really cool to see live Cybermen, Whisper Men, and even one of Mrs. Rossiter’s Peg Dolls (And it was actually Nathalie Cuzner in the costume) walking around the exhibit. Since the last day was sold out, the Experience asked to limit your time within to only 2.5 hours. So my daughter and I made sure we had seen everything in triplicate. A real good friend of mine at the time (who actually bought our tickets to the DWE) messaged me saying that there was someone I had to meet before I left. Well we were already downstairs. He told me I had to meet Jamie Hill. I knew that Jamie played the Foretold in the Doctor Who episode Mummy on the Orient Express, and the Monk in Extremis, The Pyramid at the End of the World and The Lie of the Land. Well to my surprise Jamie was also a manager at the Experience. I asked the guy in the gift shop if Jamie was around. He told me he should be right inside the exhibit. I told him I couldn’t go back in because of the no in and out policy. I also told him where we hailed from. He was really shocked and excited that we traveled all the way from Texas. He said follow me. And he proceeded to take me back in the exhibit to Jamie. Jamie was actually giving an interview with Christel Dee for the Doctor Who Fan Show. So I waited until he was through and the guy introduced me to Jamie and told him where I was from. We spoke for a couple minutes. I didn’t want to take up too much of his time as technically he was working. But he was a really cool guy. He took a couple photos with me and signed a photo for me with no problem.
So I headed back downstairs to my daughter and we stopped and had a snack in The Blue Box CafĂ©’ downstairs. I had seen Christel in the lobby downstairs. We chatted for a couple minutes (just an extremely nice lady) and we took a couple photos together. As my daughter and I were sitting there my friend Tom had messaged me saying that he just had seen on tv that Nick Briggs was inside doing an interview. Nick does the voice of the Daleks. Well unfortunately as I said before the Experience is a no in and out policy. So I couldn’t go back in and get him. But…I could go back into the gift shop which happens to be where the exit is. Lol. My daughter and I went back to the shop and not two minutes later he came out. I got his attention and he signed a photo for me as well and took a photo with me. I told him where we came from and he asked if any of my family were affected by Hurricane Harvey and he expressed deep concern for Texas. We spoke for about five minutes and he was on his way. And so were my daughter and I. We went outside and were going to take a walk around Cardiff Bay to see some of the filming locations of Doctor Who. But before we left, we kept hearing that there was going to be a big sendoff of the Experience. Actors and actresses and writers and directors who frequently visited the Experience would be making an appearance. Just a few that were rumored was Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, and the hilarious Matt Lucas. It was going to have a proper farewell. So we waited and waited and waited. After the last tour went in, they had everyone make their way outside and they locked the doors. Everyone hung around outside expecting something to happen or someone to show up. But alas nothing happened. The crowd kept getting smaller and smaller. Finally we decided to leave and take in the sites and grab a bite to eat.
This was just an all-around great Experience.  From the actual Doctor Who Experience to the BBC Studios across the street to the sights and everything. But I am glad I was able to spend the time and share the “experience” with my awesome daughter Sydnie. And though it’s been going on five years since we’ve been there, it still seems like yesterday. And I’m sure the memories will stay like that forever.
