There once was a man,
He was a friend of mine,
Til I caught him in my car
Trying to steal my alpine.
Now wait a minute, no
That’s not the way it goes.
His name was Fred Rogers.
From one of my favorite shows.
He taught me how to be kind,
That it’s ok to be myself,
How to unwind,
And how to ask for help.
But it wasn’t just Fred
That helped me feel seen,
It was Officer Clemmons
And Betty Aberlin.
Handyman Negri was there,
And X the owl.
Take a journey on Trolley
To see Lady Elaine Fairchilde.
As our neighbors grew older,
And so did we,
The imprint on our hearts
Will forever be seen.
So with a speedy delivery
From Mr. McFeely,
From one neighbor to another:
